Local amenity and groundcare contractors, W L Straughan, decided to invest in the 1.8m mini Greenmaster for management of sports fields, paddocks and amenity sites.
The machine was modified specifically for a New Holland Boomer tractor, with a PTO driven fan and a 190l/Hopper. The hopper was fitted with a high application seeding roll to apply seed rates of up to 20g/m2-200KGS/HA. This is intended to be used for football pitches, rugby pitches, roadside re-instatement works and many other industrial uses.
The Mini Greenmaster in this model is fitted with the Special cast roller giving it an all up weight of 575Kgs, not too heavy for the tractor but more than enough to hit the rough terrain that it faces.
The benefits of having a PTO fan allows plenty of air pressure to handle the high application rates even at the higher operating speeds (7-12kph).
