Ken Tongue originally contacted us to see if the AerMaster aerator unit could be attached to the Güttler GreenMaster. His main contracting work within his business involved rejuvenating horse paddocks, pasture and grassland maintenance and he was looking to add the aerator unit to the GreenMaster to be able to reduce passes with his machine.
Important things to note
- The AerMaster is completely modular as with the GreenMaster and can be attached or used independantly
- The Sward seen in the pictures is a very old sward and note entirely suitable for over-seeding
- The penetration of the AerMaster tine can be clearly seen and lifts and presents the sward to the Güttler Harroflex tine
- From an agronomical point of view, it can be seen that the leatherjackets in the sward are disturbed and are vulnerable to be eaten by crows
- FACT: A crow can eat up to 100 leatherjackets at any one time
- FACT: Dursban is now banned
- FACT: A Greenmaster / AerMaster unit in conjunction with crows will reduce the leatherjacket population
