In this case, the Guttler Greenmaster has been used to re-seed burnt off grassland. Roundup had been applied at full rate, Senescence of the grass has fully taken place, and then lime was applied at a rate of 2 ton/acer to neutralise the acidification of the roundup on to the new roots of the freshly sown grass.
If weather conditions had allowed then a further roll would of been considered, but as rain was imminent this action could not be taken.
Seeding rate in this case was 16 Kgs/acre or 39.5Kgs/ha.
The results 6 weeks later can be clearly seen - in a tight grass rotation with dairy cows the Greenmaster allows a very flexible approach to grassland management.
