The OffSet® 640 was specially developed to be combined with a hydraulically adjustable FlatSpring. Such combinations are particularly popular on the Eastern European markets: heavy, clayey soils are widespread there. Such soils must not be allowed to dry out completely and harden after basic soil cultivation (plough, cultivator or deep disc harrow). They are therefore worked as soon as they turn grey and can still be crumbled. Towed, passive devices are superior to PTO-driven machines in terms of area performance, purchase price, wear and operating costs. The larger the farm, the more this applies. Of course, the FlatSpring can be hydraulically disengaged at any time, so that a pure roller is then available for versatile use in the field and on grassland.
